This article really really should've included basic context - for instance that it's clear most American Jews thought Israel had committed war crimes as of a year ago. A sizable minority called it genocide - probably mapping to a majority of Jewish Democratic primary voters in Providence

This is absurd. I'm jewish and both phone-banked and voted for Morales. Morales has always been supportive of the Jewish community & there's nothing antisemitic about being against genocide. (Why was Providence investing city funds in Israel sovereign bonds in the first place?)

I’ve always believed that when you have a platform, you have a responsibility to speak out against injustice. That means being willing to have hard conversations around issues like congressional spending and U.S. military aid to Israel. I’m ready to use my voice and work with our federal delegation over the next 4 years to push for a more just future, here at home and beyond.
