It’s an absolute honor to be part of such an amazing animated film as Forgotten Island! While working on the character concepts, I had the wonderful opportunity to learn about the unique culture, history, and spirit of the Philippines. It was truly an incredible experience. I’m also so happy that I get to share some of the work with you! The directors were such a fun ppl to work with, and the whole team was fantastic. The entire production was such a fun and exciting experience, and I feel like the final result really captures and carries that energy. First of all, congratulations to Januel and Joel! With the release of the #RayGunn trailer, I’m so happy to see more of #Decopunk in the media. I designed the Elven Architecture of #Oominor to resemble somewhat the Art Deco style of our world.

George Lucas spent 17 YEARS getting this museum built and its first movie premiere is not Star Wars, not some legacy franchise, but an ORIGINAL DreamWorks film rooted in Filipino mythology. Even better, Forgotten Island premiered there ONE DAY after the museum opened to the public. 😭 A building dedicated to the history of visual storytelling opened its movie-premiere era by giving a new culture and a new story the spotlight. That is actually a pretty perfect first film.

I’m a filmposter designer working with short- and indie filmmakers as well as studios and agencies, currently booking for November! Any shares would be massively appreciated.

#ForgottenIsland is a vibrant and exhilarating ode to the friendships that uplift us and make us braver. It moves a mile a minute but grounds itself in earned emotion. Wonderful voice performances, zany jokes, and weighty themes make this a perfect family outing. DreamWorks is on an exciting run!
