you guys had lots of questions. here's a bit more about how it's working and how you can do it too: - we started with a simple thing that worked - just bug reports with one claude in discord - i reviewed it's code for weeks - it earned autonomy over months - the first month cost about $100k - we audit every token against our goals hourly - we double down on what works - and cut things that don't fast - spawn is a new social network - not a tool to make games - we do not sell anything today - we make money when creators do - our goal is max(fun) - we have 1000s of daily-active creators - doubling every 10 days - 30% are in spawn 30hr* per week - 10% more than 60hr* per week - spawn replaced league, wow, roblox, and mc (*with recent inputs and tab focus) - we do no paid marketing - launched 8 weeks ago - peak CCU up 250x (from ~10 to 2.5k) - avg CCU up 150x (from 4 to 650) - we have 10,000s of daily active players - at launch the best games had 2% D1 retention - they now have 20-25% D7 and 18-20% D14 - every week has been better than the last - mobile still crashes - down from 95% of plays to 20% in 6 weeks - running real UGC games on mobile browsers is hard - it would be easy to solve this with limits on what you can make - but that leads to slop - so i'm taking the hard path - my goal is simple - games 100x the size of GTA5 - loading in 1s - on a 5 year old budget phone - running at 60FPS - we ask creators to rate savi every 15 messages - she scored ~40% in january - 92% this week - we got here by watching newbies try spawn weekly - we stole this idea from valve's playtesting culture - it's the best thing we do outside of agents imo

This is the correct path. Gabe #1. Yes more total games are being made, but that also means a potential for more good games. Yes the slop and bad games make it a little harder to sift through. But that's what a platform like steam is there to do. Help you find a good game.
Valve says a “significant number” of employees are working on Steam’s growing visibility problem as the platform becomes increasingly crowded with new releases. The company also says it won’t gatekeep games made with AI. “We don’t want to be gatekeepers telling developers which tools they should or shouldn’t use.” Valve wants to improve Steam’s discovery systems so good games can still stand out in an increasingly crowded store.

introducing spawn numbers. we gave Savi a new job: your game’s data scientist. she can figure out why players leave, help fix it, and check whether they’re having fun for longer.

The reality is that Saitama is basically what Goku would end up being after not being able to find anyone strong enough to push him anymore. Gokus life tells that story through from being a child and saitama is just already there. So they would just fight each other for eternity.

Oh jesus what a simple yet entirely great idea to combine a hunting safari with the pikachu snap game.
Kanto banned this practice in 1999 but a black market still exists for the elite

This is so damn cool!
Your game deserves better than “hey guys, check out my game.” Every Spawn game now comes with a marketing kit: - Clips showing off the cool stuff - A brand built around your game’s name, art, and personality - Materials to get your Discord going - Starting points for telling your story and getting people interested Savi already knows what you’re building. We use your game, its assets, and everything you’ve told Savi to figure out what makes it special, then build the kit around that. You’ve put a lot into your game. Now you have a way to show people why they should play it.

I wonder what people like this will do in a few years when pretty much any serious well, anything will be loaded up with insanely powerful S.I.

Look at how hard they have to try to desperately make sure every aspect of life is not ai generated. Those could just be simple artist mistakes btw. lmao. "i cant believe these mirrored characters in this art arent done perfectly!"

Do you know how bigoted this sounds? they messed up mirroring the backside of the art. People like this Oreo guy could never have artist friends because they would be picking at every little detail, purity testing for A.I./mistakes they might make. lmao

Good idea preemptively blocking replies because no one cares for your opinion on this. Thats why its happening.
I really really really refrain from commenting on AI topics because I believe the take can be relatively nuanced if people have actual opinions. But then I see stuff like this. This really saddens me. Saddens me a lot.

The biggest Blizzard announcement will be *Azeroth: Beyond War* — a full sequel to World of Warcraft. It’s basically a giant safety bubble filled with furries, lube, and friendship. #blizzcon2026 @Blizzard_Ent @Warcraft
