Yesterday, we met with Liberal mayoral candidate Kareem Allam to outline our concerns about his “War on Rats.” He was inflexible on reducing garbage pickup, providing stainless steel compost bins, sealable recycling containers, and eradicating our habitat. We are concerned.

“Understanding rat populations and taking meaningful mitigation steps will help with Vancouver’s disease control and help minimize burdens placed on our hospitals and clinics,” Allam added.

This is preposterous propaganda by the Liberal-led anti-rat lobby. That a journalist of @AmirsDoingItAll’s calibre could fall for such cheap political stunts hurts. On Oct 17th save the rats and don’t vote for Kareem Allam.

Every year, the rat population grows as it continues to be ignored.

Rats are more than a pest, they're a public health problem that we're going to take on with a new blue-ribbon task force, starting day one. Together We Can.

Seniors built this city. They should be able to stay in it. Safer sidewalks. Bikes and scooters off the footpath. Free parking at Locarno and Spanish Banks. Clean washrooms. More disabled and caregiver parking. Faster seniors housing. Relief for new walk-in clinics. Senior centres that double as cooling spaces and more.
