Ran the same numbers for Jordan Love.
Simply not the same case.
Love had substantially more middle of the field targets and a higher success rate on dropbacks (even though that is not statistically significant the way the Williams v. Backups is)
This is quite simply the Jordan Love effect.
QB2 & QB3 get to practice and learn concepts for years without any of their reps counting as actual statistics. All of those mistakes are not recorded.
QB1 plays in games from day 1 while learning, every mistake is a logged career stat that skews metrics away from the player he becomes with practice and repetition.
This is mostly last year’s Caleb Williams compared to last week’s Case Keenum and Tyson Bagent.
