I wonder if after the test screening WB wanted to give The Great Beyond its own IMAX exclusivity window and a 70mm release, and the easiest way to do that was to give it Batman's, which meant pushing Batman back so it could also still have its own IMAX exclusivity window.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City isn't a good movie but it has heart. It's like a very earnest fan film that got a budget and a theatrical release and I find it endearing overall.

When the recession is officially recognized to be happening Trump will sign an executive order blaming Biden and DEI for it. Book it.

People comparing Trump to President Camacho from Idiocracy is an insult to Camacho. When presented with evidence that what he was doing was wrong, Camacho backed down and changed course for the betterment of the people. Trump could never.

TIL Marc Webb directed the upcoming Snow White. It was probably his shot to get out of director jail after ASM2 but unless it surprises it's just gonna send him right back in.

Kathleen Kennedy extended her contract through 2025 a few years ago and I assumed she'd just retire when it was up, so I for one am shocked at this news.

Shawn Levy is one of those directors that people will talk shit about but all of those people have at least one thing he's directed (either a movie or an episode of TV) that they absolutely love but don't realize he directed

I imagine Shawn Levy's Star Wars movie will have even stronger Stranger Things vibes than even Skeleton Crew since he was EP on that show from the beginning and directed a quarter of the episodes (some of the best ones in fact)

it makes me sad to see non mission impossible heads dismiss it as movies for straight guys because fundamentally mission impossible is about a man who respects women so much it gives him super powers
