“Juramos lealtad a nuestra patria. Daríamos la vida por los árboles”, dice una mujer palestina mientras cosecha aceitunas en Wadi al-Shaer, Salfit, en la Cisjordania ocupada.
“We pledged our lives to our homeland. We’d all give our lives for the trees,” a Palestinian woman says while harvesting olives in Wadi al-Shaer, Salfit, in the occupied West Bank.
As Palestinian olive trees face uprooting and settler attacks, she refuses to surrender what belongs to her people.
“It was never theirs. It is ours. This is our land,” she says, defending the trees that carry generations of Palestinian roots, identity and connection to the land.
