• Strengthen the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and mixed-income workforce housing

My team has been in touch with the FAA, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, NJ TRANSIT, Amtrak, and the airlines regarding a Verizon fiber-optic line that was cut on a construction site this morning between New Brunswick and North Brunswick—causing a telecommunications outage and FAA ground stops at regional airports. As of 5:30PM, EWR has Arrivals back on, with a reduced schedule. The FAA hopes to allow for Departures out of EWR shortly, as the fiber lines are coming back online.
My team and I will continue to press our partners for answers as service is restored while striving for answers on how we prevent such an outage from happening again.
