Absolutely horrible news following today’s terror attack. Amy Kate and I are praying for a miracle for Neria and for peace for the entire Leiter family in this difficult time.
I am grateful to the IDF, to the medical team at Shaare Zedek who are now fighting to save the life of Neria Dov ben Chana, and for the prayers of the people of Israel.
I believe in the power of prayer, and I believe that when the people of Israel unite, miracles happen. Neria needs a miracle.
Neria continued to serve in the reserves after losing his older brother, Moshe Yedidya Leiter, of blessed memory. Since October 7th, he has served hundreds of days in the reserves on multiple fronts.
Palestinian terrorism seeks to uproot the people of Israel from their land.
They choose death - we choose life.

Today, we honor the former prisoners of war who returned home, the service members who remain missing, and the families who have waited decades for answers.
I especially want to recognize U.S. Army Air Forces Captain Marvin E. Lancaster of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who was killed in action during World War II.
More than 80 years later, advances in technology helped identify Capt. Lancaster’s remains and brought him home. Today, on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, he will finally be laid to rest in his hometown.

We are praying for the family and loved ones of North Carolina’s own Pfc. Ethan Brewer, who tragically lost his life in an accident at Fort Hood. His service will not be forgotten.
The 20-year-old Fort Hood soldier killed in a rollover accident Monday, identified as Pfc. Ethan Brewer, had arrived at the post earlier this year.
Brewer enlisted as a medic in 2025 from his hometown of Apex, N.C. His awards include the Army Achievement Medal.
