Issue in central govt RTI portal
I am unable to file any RTI for the past one week in central government RTI portal rtionline.gov.in/. Either money is not getting deducted or gets deducted but registration number is not generated. Same problem is being faced by other RTI applicants too from other states.
I tried all below methods
1) Cleared all caches
2) Tried with different browsers
3) Tried with different devices (Mobile & laptop)
4) Tried with different internet service providers
But payment is failing. So the option for filing a new RTI is totally closed
I mailed the helpdesk team and response is not giving any solution
It seems RTI website itself having server issues
Please let me know whether all of you is facing same problem or what can be done to fix the issue @drbabukv

Its high time the govt/NMC should think about removing BOND or seat leaving penality for students
Yes, it could increase seat blocking—but it isn’t inevitable.
If a candidate can accept a seat, hold it through counselling rounds, and then leave at no cost, some may do so while waiting for a better option. That can delay seats reaching other candidates.
But a harsh penalty can also trap someone who genuinely needs to withdraw.
The answer is not to keep an extreme penalty at any cost. Use clear exit deadlines, fast seat reallocation, transparent counselling rounds, and a reasonable, capped charge only for late withdrawals that disrupt the process. That protects both candidates and the counselling system.
