I’ve the new Honda HR-V hybrid on test at the moment and initially thought it expensive (at over €41k), but it justifies that somewhat with its high quality and polish. I don’t love the hybrid system but it all works very well and is a pleasant car overall. Any questions on it?

First test car of 2025 for me was the new MG ZS, a hybrid crossover replacing an electric predecessor.
I reckon it looks much smarter inside and out than before. It drives ok, the hybrid system is ok and pretty efficient and while it feels ‘cheaper’ than it looks, it’s a bargain

I had the new, electric MINI Cooper SE on test last week. It’s effectively a sporty coupe, which some will use to justify the too-firm ride and appalling practicality. On the flip side it’s really agile, I like the new design and most of the interior. Anything you want to know?
