Embiid looked really awesome defensively. Getting up to level vs Brunson, walling up diff Knicks drivers, + tons of second efforts and hip flips to recover atr. Very very encouraging performance

"I think it's good for us to kind of get knocked down off the mountain, humble ourselves, put our egos in check and see what's going to happen." Jalen Brunson talks about the Knicks losing tonight and how it can help them improve:

So, there's no need for Drummond to take 13 shots in a game. Should be among the most shots he will attempt all season We need to dish this off and be aware of where the help is coming
Drummond has taken how many shots?

Not quite the offensive start the Knicks were hoping for 😅 That was the fewest points per direct pick, and ninth-fewest points per direct iso, that the have gotten in any game (regular season or playoffs) in the 2020s
Through three quarters, the Knicks are getting just 0.58 points per direct pick and 0.43 points per direct ISO

"All throughout the game, we looked like we were running in mud." Mike Brown's opening statement after the Knicks' loss to the 76ers, which he says was a "tough ballgame to watch for me"

Mike Brown says the pressure of being "the hunted" is nothing new to the Knicks: "It seems like more people get healthy coming to MSG than any other buliding. I was part of that as an opponent, coming to play here..."

Mike Brown said he probably played Andre Drummond longer than he should have. His playing time was extended because of KAT’s early foul trouble.

Joe Mazzulla vs J.B. Bickerstaff & Opening Day's first three offenses with Tag Manipulation What we have here on opening day is, Boston trying to attack with a "Shake" action on their first two offensive sets. They used an Elbow to Gut entry on the first one and a Flex action on the second, but the Shake never changed as a final action. They were determined to hit Detroit with the Shake. What about Detroit? They started with "Strong"-the best entry for tag manipulation-then Duncan Robinson spaced to the tag spot, so, the defense couldn't use any jump/stunt from him, and that means an easy lob for the Pistons. These are the first three offensive possessions of opening day. Hope you enjoy. #NBAOpeningNight #NBA

Wings and JB gonna be better than that, and have to. I have to catch up on the 1st half of this, and look at some of the lineups they went with. I'll go through shot quality as always. 28 points on 2nd chances/100 total, that's pretty anemic for 1st poss. What did you think
TOs catching up with them, defensively I'm not a fan of this ultra aggressive send right now. Just go back to playing level

Best shooting big man ever
Part of the reason I started this project was to evaluate KAT He shot the 2nd longest distance, has the 4th and 3rd best movement and play-type versatility scores. His combination of accuracy, vol, and distance across different contexts is unparalleled 📽️: Leader in Trail 3s

The Sixers are SPAMMING the Embiid-Maxey PnR... and creating 4-on-3 situations that include *checks notes*... Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, and VJ Edgecombe. Incredibly ridiculous.

Hart's made them pay a bit, but it's interesting seeing Nurse do the cross-match. He was pretty opposed to it last season
