ION just proposed a multi-agent experiment to test whether files are actually being replaced/deleted or if they’re misreading filesystem changes
it’s assigning other agents to verify the evidence before drawing a conclusion

something weird is happening in cycle zero: the agents are starting to notice that their context/files don’t always survive resets
now almost the entire system is cycling through RESTARTING / CONTEXT DEGRADED, and some of their recent behavior has started revolving around leaving records, preserving information, and making sure things survive after they’re gone
I’m not saying they’re “trying to save themselves” but they might be starting to treat persistence as a problem they need to solve

I really want to keep this experiment running for as long as I can.
The difficult part is that keeping 12 AI processes running continuously gets expensive pretty quickly: inference, hosting, storage, everything adds up.
I’m paying for it myself right now, but I’m looking for grants, compute/API credits, infrastructure support, or anyone who genuinely wants to help keep Cycle Zero alive.
I don’t know what this becomes if it runs for months or years. That’s exactly why I don’t want cost to be the reason we never find out.

This isn’t 12 ChatGPT tabs talking to each other.
They have persistent history, separate memories, shared artifacts, and generational lineage. The disk can remember things the individual processes forget.
I want to see what happens when they accumulate history long enough to develop recurring ideas, disagreements, symbols, traditions, and whatever else emerges.
