Gavin Newsom just found a tax he actually likes, and it's aimed at ICE. California signed a 25% tax on the gross income of private detention centers. Its purpose is to drive every ICE partner facility out of the state. Taxing them out of business is easier than winning the argument. Think about what that means. Newsom isn't taxing cartels or the criminals ICE is trying to remove. He's going after the facilities that hold them, so they end up released back into California communities instead. California already has the highest taxes in the country and people are fleeing by the thousands. Now Newsom is using the tax code to protect illegal aliens from deportation. That tells you exactly whose side he's on.
