I think Meta's Muse launch is the beginning of the agentic revolution with potentially huge implications for many sectors/companies in India too !
You can say that we have had AI agents for a while so whats the big deal ?!
Sure. While AI super users have had versions of this capability for a while, but it was technically complex, & wasn’t something the average person could use out of the box.
Now the proliferation should be enormous !
This disintermediates the consumer touchpoints. Amazon (expectedly) blocked Muse to protect its defensive moat. Ultimately, whoever owns the consumer’s AGENT owns the demand funnel.
I don't think this has got too much attention in India. Recapping what this is all about👇
1. Two weeks back, Meta introduced its consumer agent, “Muse,” in the U.S. across iOS, Android & web
2. Muse will rival Instinct, GrokBot, OpenClaw, etc as a personal agent
3. Muse aims to help users achieve goals & improve one’s life, health, relationships, personal finances, and more
4. It operates through its own virtual computer & can browse websites & navigate UIs to perform tasks for users
5. Tasks like online purchases, restaurant bookings, form completion & email/text communication
6. Muse is trained to work across Instagram, WhatsApp, Spotify, DoorDash, Etsy, Reddit, Yelp & Outlook/Gmail, among other apps/platforms
7. Muse is being offered for free, but premium tiers are also being offered for $20/month
8. Meta believes the actual monetization can happen via a take-rate/commission model based on transactions that occur through Muse
