Also @Unberogen. Great will be the glories of the coming age.

Downfall. Moonfall. Whalefall. This has gotta be the strangest trilogy in movie history.

It would be funny if the World Series were between the Chicago White Sox (Pope Leo’s favorite team, who are obviously imbued with some kind of papal blessing) and the San Diego Padres, who are named after the friars of the Franciscan mission founded by Juniperro Serra.

Lou Gehrig is #1 and it's not particularly close. He doesn't miss a game for fifteen years. He's the humble, quiet man standing in the shadow of a titan bestride the Earth in his teammate Babe Ruth. All he does is show up every single day, put up insane numbers, and win the World Series every other year. And then suddenly he takes himself out of the lineup. He soon reveals that he has a dreadful disease that no normal person had ever even heard of before. A man so tough, so durable, who played through every terrible injury he suffered over 15 years and rightfully earned the moniker The Iron Horse... would soon be unable to even walk. And despite all that had been laid upon him, the man who almost never said a word stood before a crowd of 62,000 and untold numbers listening on radio and declared himself The Luckiest Man on the Face of the Earth. He would be dead within 2 years at the age of 37.
Joe Girardi was catching for the Cubs on June 22, 2002 when he had to step in front of the crowd at Wrigley Field and tell them there wouldn't be a game. Darryl Kile hadn't shown up at the park. He'd been found dead in his hotel room at 33. Kile had won 20 games for St. Louis two years earlier, the first Cardinal to do it since 1985. The Cardinals had moved into first place a few days before he died. They never gave it up, and they clinched the division that September.

It's genuinely wonderful that when Japan was in a time of terrible need the United States didn't only spring into action, but named it Operation Tomodachi, which translates to Operation Friends. Not just the obligation of assisting an ally, but helping a friend.
I’m Japanese. In 2011, on the day the world watched in shock at the devastation in Japan, America did not look away. Despite the danger, around 24,500 U.S. service members, 24 ships, and 189 aircraft mobilized to help Japan. I will never forget Operation Tomodachi. That’s why, to me, America is more than a friend. America is family. If anything ever happens to you, this time I want to do everything I can to support you. If necessary, I’d even risk my life… Because that’s what family does. 🇯🇵🇺🇸

One of my less-fondly-remembered Japanese teammates a couple of years ago was a very small, scheming guy from Chiba that I dubbed Patient Zero because - on top of being the most comically relentless hounder of girls I’ve ever seen - he was spreading gonorrhea like wildfire. The other Japanese agreed that he would one day inadvertently cultivate a brand new, antibiotic-resistant STD. He was later disinvited from living with us after he and other teammates were caught in some gruesome acts with local girls under our shared dormitory roof. But in a final, hilarious twist of irony, the girl gave him an STD!
I’ve been impatiently waiting to tell you that my brand new single “Patient Zero” will be out on September 25 (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and it’s available to pre-order now at store.taylorswift.com for 24 hours. 0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣

Which He did
if this was a fantasy map from a game or movie, i would consider it geographically unrealistic for having too many perfect natural ports and harbors. the founders of the 13 colonies mustve thought God himself had bestowed upon them the land to build the greatest country on earth

Every community around the ground zero that is Lakewood is having their budgets crushed to dust by being forced to bus infinite Jews to their schools at all hours of the day and night. They invariably cut the busing, and then everything else, for normal Americans to compensate.
Hey @Grok Approximately how much US taxpayer money goes to private Jewish schools across the United States every year? Start with the number.

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after a mob of Black "teens" dragged a White female college student off her own porch BY HER HAIR, dragged her to a stop sign, and then beat her UNCONSCIOUS... TWICE... ...while a crowd stood around FILMING it!!! The girls called 911 **FIVE TIMES** that night, but police didn't show up until AFTER the beating was over. This happened near York College in Pennsylvania. A group of students, young White women, were on the porch of their off-campus house when a stranger walked up and picked a fight and a mob of Black "teens" rushed them. One of the girls was ripped off the porch by her hair, dragged to a stop sign, then roughly a dozen people jumped her at once, kicking and punching her from every angle while a crowd of up to 30 encircled her. She blacked out TWICE... once from a kick to the ribs and again from a blow to the back of the head. And the whole time, she says, people were recording it on their phones and laughing... filming her get beaten unconscious for entertainment. Her friends were dragged down the steps by their hair too. One was already in a knee brace, recovering from an injury. The girls say they called 911 FIVE separate times. The first calls went out BEFORE the violence even started, when a crowd was gathering and cars were street racing so recklessly that one of them smashed into a parked car next to the firehouse. Five calls. They were told each time that officers were coming. Officers didn't arrive until it was over. Students say this isn't new and that large crowds gather there constantly, and that another student was attacked just two weeks earlier by what they believe is the same group of non-students. "The cops haven't done anything to protect us, and campus safety hasn't done anything. It feels like they're scared to get involved with 'these' people, but then it puts us at risk when they're doing nothing." WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!!!
