Last month, the Supreme Court ruled that your location data is constitutionally protected even when a tech company holds it 🔒 But the most important part isn't the main ruling. It's a separate opinion from one justice that most people will skip. Justice Gorsuch argued that your data is your property, and third-party custody doesn't equal third-party ownership. This is what zero-knowledge technology is built for. Privacy that can support lawful oversight, while leaving ownership of the data with the user. Aleo's Global Head of Policy, @SignCurve, contributed insight to this new paper from @ubyx_ and @stakeFi_network on the case for banks validating public blockchains. In it, Fanusie notes: "As more finance moves on-chain, it will be critical for banks to help secure the base layer. The Aleo network supports institutional payment infrastructure and we welcome banks to join the validator set." Read the full paper 👇 ubyx.xyz/news/2026-07-30-ban…
Banks Should Validate Public Blockchains. Not just a statement, but the title of our latest paper, co-authored by our CEO Tony McLaughlin and Brett Hornung, CCO of @stakeFi_network. We explain why institutions should operate as validators at the base layer. 🧵 for full paper.

Stablecoins are going mainstream, but the privacy rules around them are still catching up. In this episode of the Privacy Podcast, @btschiller speaks with Yaya Fanusie ( @SignCurve), Chief Policy Officer at @AleoHQ, about stablecoin privacy and why protecting financial confidentiality could become the next major policy debate. piped.video/watch?v=UxVUIiC_…

Important conversation.
Enjoyed talking with @SignCurve Aleo's Chief Policy Officer and former CIA analyst. Here he explains the trade-offs in having privacy onchain. "For there to be adoption of stablecoins, you are going to have to have some level of control," he says. Users expect "bank level privacy." But they also understand that third-parties may, in certain circumstances, have access to their data. That's what happens now. The difference is that, with a ZK proof system like Aleo's, you can have "selective disclosure" of a user's information, rather than the "unfettered" access we often see today. Privacy isn't an either-or. It's dependent on the needs of the situation. Check out full episodes of the Privacy Podcast from Miden here: piped.video/@ThePrivacyPodca… @0xMiden

Do you believe your personal location data should legally be considered your "property"? 1 out of 9 Supreme Court Justices agrees with you. Check the piece I just wrote on this fascinating issue.

Always great chatting with @laurashin!
🔐 All stablecoin transactions are publicly visible and that's exactly why they can't scale for payroll, institutional settlement or everyday payments, Yaya Fanusie of @AleoHQ says. He joined @laurashin on Unchained Premium to explain how Aleo is fixing that and as a former national security official, he thinks privacy is a strategic imperative, not a threat. How do you build a financial system that is fast, open, and programmable, without making everyone's financial life visible to the world? @SignCurve joined the Barefoot Innovation Podcast by @AIRinnovate to explore exactly that, covering private stablecoins, zero-knowledge proofs, the geopolitical stakes of democratic financial infrastructure and more. The wait is over. For months, I've been working with Valerie-Leila Jaber and @matthew_d_green on a paper to explain why stablecoin privacy is necessary and how it can be achieved on the @AleoHQ network. The paper is out now. We welcome your feedback.
The case for private stablecoins has never been stronger. Today, we're thrilled to release a landmark white paper that explains how privacy is the missing layer that makes blockchain payment rails viable for mainstream institutional use. The GENIUS Act presents the opportunity for widespread stablecoin adoption. But public blockchains expose every transaction, permanently, hindering adoption. Payroll. Treasury. Vendor payments. All of it broadcast to the world. Existing solutions fall short and carry too much risk for institutions to engage. The industry has been stuck. But today that changes. This paper presents a new path forward: permissionless, private stablecoin architecture built on Aleo, using zero-knowledge technology and programmable smart contracts. Financial privacy and institutional risk management are not in tension. They're built from the same foundation, with programmable risk mitigation that lets institutions transact privately without compromise. Behind this paper is a team that has spent careers at the intersection of cryptography, policy, and financial systems. Aleo's Global Head of Policy @SignCurve, Valerie-Leila Jaber of the @crypto_council for Innovation and former Global Head of Financial Crime Compliance at Coinbase, and @matthew_d_green, cryptographer and Johns Hopkins University computer science professor, bring a rare combination of hands-on experience in private payments, financial regulation, and zero-knowledge cryptography. This is a big deal. Not just for Aleo, but for institutional finance as a whole. Read More 👇 aleo.org/post/stablecoin-pri…

Very cool — and even better if payroll were also private: @AleoHQ
.@deel just launched stablecoin salary payouts, powered by BVNK. We've handled their contractor payouts across 100+ countries from day one. Today we're scaling to full-time employees. Companies fund in fiat or stables. Employees choose how they're paid. Real-time settlement. Proud to power borderless payroll 🚀

Pretty big deal, US Treasury acknowledging the strategic importance of privacy tech. And the digital ID section points to a future where even banks could eventually use decentralized digital id credentials to counter fraud and reduce PII honeypots.
Meaningful recognition of the legitimacy & importance of privacy as security in todays US Treasury "Report on Innovative Methods To Detect Illicit Activity Involving Digital Assets" (p.8):
