Recently I've been exploring how simple rules can create lifelike emergent beauty. Under the hood there is a 28,000 agent simulation with seasonal migratory and reproductive behaviour.

Capability overhang means too many gaps today between what the models can do and what most people actually do with them. 2026 Prediction: Progress towards AGI will depend as much on helping people use AI well, in ways that directly benefit them as on progress in frontier models themselves. 2026 will be about frontier research AND about closing this deployment gap — especially in health care, business, and people's daily lives.

I made a tiny free mystery game! Northstar Casework is a short-form detective game played entirely through a simulated investigation desktop. Something totally different from me simonharrisco.itch.io/norths…

The response to my last post was incredible. Thanks for everyone who liked it and 👋 to new followers Here I tweaked the parameters to encourage the agents incentives to stay together much more, and not scatter as much during off seasons

I made this path traced art tool based on the work of the amazing @damonxart but I don't want to work on it anymore because my whole computer becomes unresponsive when i try to pathtrace in the browser 😁😁😁

still ticking on with the browser procedural modeller. we now have lights, cameras, scene contexts and the simplest possible material system. quite a lot doesn't work, but more does work. just for my mvp love i want to integrate pathtraced output. .... just a small ask

it occurs to me that this is a faster horse.
I embedded an agent + API into my procedural modeller. This was a 'log cabin' it made. I'm honestly impressed - not a bad first attempt. Prompt and output in the comments

Prompt: Use boolean modelling to make me a wooden lakeside cabin with a jetty. make it highly detailed, and use as many nodes are is required.

I'm convinced the response was cut off, i think that some of these primitives were going to be used in for boolean operations

I'm making insane progress with my web based procedural modelling tool. 🌱 We have transforming and extruding faces in. These operations in the viewport also automatically insert the relevant nodes into the graph to keep it non destructive.
