🚨 “IT’S TIME TO CATCH UP.” That may have been the most important message to come out of today’s meeting between President Trump and President Xi Jinping. Listen closely to what Xi was saying. 🚨 BREAKING: FEDERAL JUDGE BLOCKS TRUMP’S WHITE HOUSE MEDIA BAN A federal judge has temporarily ordered the Trump administration to restore White House press credentials for CNN, MS NOW and Politico, blocking President Trump’s ban for 14 days while the legal battle continues. And here’s the twist… Judge Timothy Kelly was appointed to the federal bench by President Trump himself. The three outlets sued after their White House access was revoked, arguing that the administration violated their First Amendment and Due Process rights. But there’s another part of this case that I believe is going to become VERY important: NATIONAL SECURITY. The Trump administration has raised National Security concerns involving reporting by these outlets. Judge Kelly ruled that, based on the record currently before him, the administration had not sufficiently demonstrated that justification. BUT THIS IS A TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER (TRO) NOT A FINAL RULING. And this is where things get interesting. One thing I’ve learned about President Trump is that when he says something, he means it. And if his administration is prepared to stand before a Federal Court and argue that these outlets created legitimate National Security concerns, then I believe they’re prepared to produce the EVIDENCE to support that argument. But belief isn’t evidence, and now comes the part that matters: LET’S SEE WHAT THEY PRODUCE. Because this case is much bigger than whether you like CNN, MS NOW, Politico or Donald Trump. The question is whether the White House can prove that its actions were legally justified, including the National Security concerns it has raised, while satisfying the constitutional protections governing White House press access.
