Wow! And that's perfectly put. When you're dealing with a guy like Miller, understatement is complicity, and restraint is surrender. Miller is a major danger to the American people—and not just them (see previous post).
Stephen Miller is a dangerous xenophobe and reckless extremist who has American blood on his hands. His presence in government should be eradicated like a malignant tumor. Fire him today.

Models have trended more unsettled next week and beyond over the last 48 hours, spells of rain and milder for all Tues-Thurs next week, perhaps a brief transitory ridge brings drier, colder more settled wx Fri 13th - Sun 15th, before a more unsettled, perhaps stormier pattern develops thereafter for 2nd half of Nov, which has been forecast by sub-seasonal output for a while

Risk of fog, dense in places, again the next few nights across southern areas of the UK and Ireland. Could be widespread across E Wales, central and eastern England for the Monday morning commute, so something to bear in mind to give extra time. Smoke from bonfires/fireworks this weekend will likely exacerbate the poor visibility.

Jared Kushner seems to be saying here that the United States is prepared to put NATO's military presence in Eastern Europe on the negotiating table as part of a deal to end the war in Ukraine. It means that that Putin's long-standing demands to demilitarise NATO's eastern flank could become part of the bargaining. This has been coming for some time. Russia has demanded restrictions on NATO's military presence in Central and Eastern Europe for years. And when Steve Witkoff met Vladimir Putin in St Petersburg last month, he said, according to Putin, that discussions about a new European security architecture should be part of the agenda. This is alarming for Poland and eastern flank countries. They will be asking what Washington might actually be prepared to concede in negotiations with Moscow. Poland is currently negotiating with Washington over a permanent American military base on its territory.
President Trump today advanced an important discussion with several European leaders about the need for a broader European security architecture that can help establish the conditions for lasting peace. Building on his leadership and the substantive work undertaken this week in Brussels with Ukraine, NATO, and our European partners, @SEPeaceMissions and I wanted to share some of the objectives guiding our ongoing discussions. For more than 30 years, Europe and Russia have struggled to establish a sustainable security framework. Decades of mistrust, competing security concerns, and the devastating consequences of this war make this an extraordinarily difficult challenge, but one that is essential to lasting peace. Our objective is to develop practical arrangements that address the security concerns of all sides, reduce the risk of future conflict, and create a more stable and predictable security environment. We are exploring five principal goals: permanent security consultations, reliable crisis communications, greater military transparency, reciprocal measures to reduce escalation risks, and an enduring framework for long-term European security and stability. Any arrangements must fully respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independent decision-making of every nation. Each country will retain authority over its own security and alliances, and no country would have a veto over another’s sovereign choices. NATO will remain central to European collective defense, and this initiative would build upon existing institutions and commitments. We will continue consultations through the Shell Bay format with Ukraine, NATO, the EU, and our European partners, expanding engagement to ensure that all relevant perspectives and ideas are considered. We will also engage Russia as part of the peace negotiations. Next week in Abu Dhabi, the United States will convene the first trilateral peace discussions with Ukraine and Russia since February. All parties remain intensely engaged in preparing for substantive and productive negotiations. We will consult closely with our European partners on the sidelines and, if progress is made, aim to move toward a broader multilateral format with their direct participation. These ideas continue to evolve, and we welcome thoughtful input. Creating the right structure will be critical to ending this war and transitioning from conflict toward conditions that make possible a durable peace. This is difficult, detailed work. There are no easy solutions. But the opportunity to help end this devastating war and build a foundation for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous Europe for generations to come makes it a challenge well worth undertaking. We will see how these discussions develop and continue working intensively with all parties toward President Trump’s objective of a comprehensive and lasting peace.

💔 The death toll has risen to 50. Around 20 people are still missing. russia turned a school in Komyshuvakha into a mass grave. Fifty lives lost. And the search is still ongoing.
The horrific moment a russian FAB-3000 struck a school where civilians had gathered to receive humanitarian aid. 31 killed. 48 still missing. russia is a murderous state. Stop pretending otherwise.

Donald Trump just promoted one of the most vile thugs to ever slither into the Oval Office. This is an insult to every American who voted for change on Tuesday. Stephen Miller cooked up the sadistic mass deportation regime that ripped apart families and trampled basic civil rights. Innocent people are dead because of him. Voters rejected his cruelty and extremism. This is sick.
"I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff starting Monday, November 9, 2026. Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump Political Operation. I want to thank her for her service as Chief of Staff — She has done a great job!" - President Donald J. Trump 🇺🇸

So, let me flag a few things, traitor. 1. "European security architecture" is a phrase the Kremlin uses. We already have one: it's called NATO. 2. You conflate (as you always do) the victim of this war with the aggressor. The aggressor is Russia. 3. "Root causes" is Russian for "do it our way" and you know it. 4. Nothing a word about Russian withdrawal, the occupied territories, POWs or deported children. Weird. 5. Lavrov wrote this for you. 6. Fuck Putin, fuck Russia, and fuck you.

Thank you, Mr. Kushner. Those five principles are important. However, Moscow subscribed to these principles in documents signed in 1975 (Helsinki Final Act) and 1990 (Charter of Paris). The problem isn't agreeing to principles, but Moscow's failure to abide by them. 🧵 /1

So here is the question: How are you going to ensure Moscow not only accepts these principles on paper but abides by them in practice? Until you figured that out, there is no agreement, no ceasefire, no peace, and no security structure any European country can accept. /end

The problem, Mr. Kushner, isn't that we don't have principles for European security. The problem is that Russia has singularly violated every one of the principles and ignored or withdrawn from every treaty and agreement that implemented them. /7

Russia is bombing terminally ill children. This is not war. This is pure, deliberate cruelty.
A place that exists for one reason—to give critically ill, dying children a shred of peace and comfort in their final days—was turned into a war zone by russian drones. At the House of Butterflies hospice in Chernivtsi, staff had to haul these kids, many on life support and unable to move, out of their beds and into shelters while air-raid sirens screamed, russian drones roared overhead, and nearby strikes lit the night with fires. russia is a cruel evil terrorist state! We can never hate them enough
