Denmark energy giant Orsted wanted to build hundreds of industrial wind towers in the Atlantic Ocean and charge New Jersey up to five times the going rate for any electricity produced. And they would have significantly impaired USCG search and rescue operations, homeland defense, commercial and recreational fishing and small businesses all along the Jersey Shore. Ørsted didn’t count on thousands of grassroots volunteers fighting against its plans. And it certainly underestimated the indefatigable spirit of Congressman Jeff Van Drew, who has held hearings, attended rallies, and consistently spoken out against offshore wind development. In 2023, Orsted raced back to Denmark in the face of such strong and determined opposition to the offshore wind scam. Now, Van Drew is running for reelection against an opponent who has ties not only to the astroturf groups that support the offshore wind industry, but to the industry itself. As mayor of Cape May, Zach Mullock accepted $500,000 from a $15 million trust established by Ørsted. 😂 Well, this school’s Pride celebration took an unexpected detour. Students at Marshall Simonds Middle School in Massachusetts were encouraged to wear rainbow colors for a Pride observance. Some students had a different idea. They wore red, white and blue and reportedly started chanting that their pronouns were “USA.” 🇺🇸😂 Pride decorations were also damaged — which crossed the line from protest into vandalism — and school officials responded with a letter to families and a community meeting addressing what they described as intolerance. 🙄 Middle schoolers chanting “MY PRONOUNS ARE USA” was definitely not on the lesson plan. 😂🇺🇸 This is freakin' hilarious. 🤣 Give those kids a medal!!! 👏 👏 👏 👏
