Tim Sweeney is criticizing Valve again over Steam’s requirement for developers to disclose their use of generative AI.
The Epic Games CEO called the policy “abhorrent,” arguing that developers are being forced to make a “political statement” that could be used against them by a “hate mob.”
Sweeney has been criticizing the policy since 2025, previously comparing the disclosure to a “Scarlet Letter” and arguing that AI will eventually be part of almost every game production process.

Pokemon gen 5 didn't get more hate than any other gen did, but I think GF started paying attention to the hate at that point, since it was the time corporate social media usage was expanding at its fastest. BW2 had signs of a reverse course, and gen 6 was probly cut early from it

Nintendo is really proud of all their series. It's so sad seeing that, and then seeing how much Sega isn't. Sega acts like they hate everything they've made.
