Honestly, I find it creepy and downright stupid when Muslim boys get so desperate to play Garba in the name of friendship, brotherhood and love.
When they know the current atmosphere in the country and how eagerly some people look for opportunities to push the “Love Jihad” narrative, why invite unnecessary trouble?
And if this brotherhood is genuine, why does it seem limited to Garba and Navratri? Why not show up for Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi and the upcoming Dussehra? Go, play Holi, celebrate other festivals and participate in the traditions you claim to respect.
If playing with colours is considered haram in our interpretation of Islam, but playing Garba is somehow acceptable, isn't that a contradiction worth questioning?
Brotherhood should be consistent, not selective. Be mindful of the situation, respect your own boundaries and stop giving people opportunities to create unnecessary controversies.
Yes, absolutely! Maybe they’ll witness our 5,000 year old culture & wisdom and decide to convert or rather, make Ghar wapsi.
The question is, where does this brotherhood disappear during Holi, Dipavli, Ganesh chaturthi and Padwa? Why does it seem to matter only during Navratri?
