Fake cops don’t know how to be real cops.
NEW: I've been speaking with a handful of experienced ICE agents in different parts of the country to get a sense of their mindsets during enforcement operations.
They have described feeling tense on almost all stops due to the political climate.
One veteran ICE agent articulated it to me this way:
“We aren’t local cops. Local cops make stops and 99% of the time let people go with a ticket or warning. We are making every stop to take someone's freedom away and send them back to a hell hole. I'm not saying local cops don't have dangerous stops, I'm saying every stop we have is dangerous. Every stop we have is planned to end with handcuffs and exiling someone away from the life they've built here on the taxpayer's dime."
