YAMATO SUPPORT 🩶 My thoughts on this card: I think it is powerful but a little overhyped from first impression. While not leader locked, I think most decks might struggle to fit this into their curve without falling behind in tempo - it doesnt do anything for a while and is vulnerable to removal and rest effects (Gloriosa, Mamaragan, Mihawk Rest Event etc). Its possible to counterplay stuff like Gloriosa via 2c Zoro but this is another 2 Don and card from hand you need to spend. If you decide to play it later in the game, most decks will have to forego their most powerful plays im favor of this while still being vulnerable to cost based removal. I feel like Imu benefits from this the most as it is fairly easy to fit this on 10 don but you do need to overplay one of your Elders for this and will still get obliterated by 10c Shanks + Decken (+ optional Luna). In Yamato I think it is nevertheless a great addition at ~2 copies. Yamato can be flexible in its delpoyment timing and fit it fairly well into late game turns: 6c + 4c / Momo into this for potential double Blocker + 7k leader. Yamato can also make fairly good use of 2c Zoro to protect it as he gets to swing 5k on the Momobu combo turn in some cases. Will be updating my Yamato Guide for EB05 for sure!
