The same order requires procedures allowing citizens to access and correct their records in advance of elections. And that matters because false positives have already occurred in SAVE checks. Important: The Supreme Court did NOT rule that Trump's 60-day requirement can be ignored. It temporarily lifted the lower-court restriction while the litigation continues. Our organizations respect the responsibility of federal agencies to enforce the law. At the same time, cattle producers, feedyards, dairies, livestock markets, processors, and other rural businesses depend on a stable workforce to care for animals, protect food safety, and keep the supply chains operating. Sudden workforce disruptions can create immediate animal-welfare, operational, and economic consequences that extend well beyond an individual business. These ICE operations are having a massive chilling effect on the legal, documented, skilled workers that put beef on the table and keep the cattle supply chain moving. Additionally, these types of disruptions will lead to higher beef prices for consumers. The plan is called PACT. Washington would seek another $5 BILLION from: Saudi Arabia. UAE. Qatar. Bahrain. Kuwait. Oman. Iraq. Jordan. Total target: $10 BILLION. And this isn't just about repairing what was destroyed. The proposal would also help build energy routes that REDUCE dependence on the Strait of Hormuz. Important: This is still a proposal. The partner countries haven't all agreed. Terms could change. And $5 billion in U.S. funding is not yet a finalized spending commitment. But look at the sequence: WAR DAMAGES ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE. UNDEREXAMINED: Trump allies are urging extraordinary federal intervention in the November election. One longtime Trump acquaintance has now raised: MARTIAL LAW. Attorney Peter Ticktin told The Atlantic that one possible Election Day scenario is Trump attempting to declare martial law. Important distinction: There is NO evidence Trump has adopted that proposal. The White House says Ticktin and others pushing these ideas have no role in its election policy. But “outside the White House” does not necessarily mean “without influence.” Laura Loomer had no White House position when she personally urged Trump to remove national-security officials. Several were subsequently fired. Trump himself has also said Republicans should: “TAKE OVER THE VOTING” and “NATIONALIZE THE VOTING.” And when Wayne Allyn Root proposed a “national security emergency” to impose election rules, Trump responded: “STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED.” So the unanswered question isn't whether Trump has ordered martial law. He hasn't. It's whether these extraordinary proposals are merely reaching the president... OR GAINING INFLUENCE WITH HIM. That's the receipt we don't have yet.
