Also if you do save up to go private and get diagnosed you will be charged far more for your medication because it does not qualify for NHS funding if you are not diagnosed via the NHS.
If you have any sort of chronic mental health condition in this country you are screwed.
I'm sincerely convinced I have OCD - the problem is that, in the UK, your only options are 'have enough money to go private' or 'go to hell' because there is nothing the NHS hates more than actually diagnosing people with serious mental illnesses.
