Every yardstick for a good contributor was built for a world where output was expensive. Volume is getting weaker as a signal. What you shipped, what you shipped it with, and whether a maintainer accepted it is getting stronger. Slop records exactly that. Every accepted outcome lands in an append-only public record, with the provider, the exact model, the client and the skill revision bound into a device-signed receipt at the moment the run happens. Every allocation we publish is computed from that record and nothing else. Outcomes over inputs.

The bottleneck in agentic work is no longer implementation, it is judgment: Choosing the problem. Supplying the context. Setting the constraints. Deciding what "done" means. Catching the answer that is plausible and wrong. Implementation capacity is effectively unlimited now. Judgment is not. It comes from people holding real context. It does not scale with compute, and a little of it is spent every time somebody reads a submission closely enough to accept or reject it. Anything that scarce needs a budget with its own name on it. So Slop carries two funded lines instead of one: a contributor pool for accepted work, and a separate review line for the people ratifying it, sitting on top of the pool and structurally impossible to carve out of it.
