Stoked to share I’m joining the @XBOX team as CTO. I’ve been a gamer all my life and XBOX fan since day 1, so it’s a dream to help build what comes next. Thanks for the opportunity to help create the future of play, @asha_shar. Let’s get to work.

Call me a buzzkill but I don’t think we should allow companies to take over the entire night sky with an ad for their product

I strongly believe there are entire companies right now under heavy AI psychosis and its impossible to have rational conversations about it with them. I can't name any specific people because they include personal friends I deeply respect, but I worry about how this plays out. I lived through the great MTBF vs MTTR (mean-time-between-failure vs. mean-time-to-recovery) reckoning of infrastructure during the transition to cloud and cloud automation. All those arguments are rearing their ugly heads again but now its... the whole software development industry (maybe the whole world, really). It's frightening, because the psychosis folks operate under an almost absolute "MTTR is all you need" mentality: "its fine to ship bugs because the agents will fix them so quickly and at a scale humans can't do!" We learned in infrastructure that MTTR is great but you can't yeet resilient systems entirely. The main issue is I don't even know how to bring this up to people I know personally, because bringing this topic up leads to immediately dismissals like "no no, it has full test coverage" or "bug reports are going down" or something, which just don't paint the whole picture. We already learned this lesson once in infrastructure: you can automate yourself into a very resilient catastrophe machine. Systems can appear healthy by local metrics while globally becoming incomprehensible. Bug reports can go down while latent risk explodes. Test coverage can rise while semantic understanding falls. Changes happens so fast that nobody notices the underlying architecture decaying. I worry.

No you fucking idiot. Computing needs to get better at using electricity. The human brain runs at 20 WATTS. This conman wants to build TERAWATTS so chatbots can hallucinate faster. The LLM approach is FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG and he’s too stupid and arrogant to get it.
🚨 JENSEN HUANG: “The amount of energy that we need for computing is probably 1,000x more than we currently have.”

isn’t it extremely wasteful to drive trucks around with the sole purpose of being a moving billboard? why isn’t this illegal?

Don't drop out of college either. Using the same tool everyone else can use with zero experience or skill is suboptimal

How to get to $1 million MRR in 90 days: - Raise $$$ from VCs - Spend $1M on your friend's SaaS - They spend $1M on yours - Tweet you got to $1M MRR in 90 days - Cancel the subscription after one month cause now you already tweeted it - Use that month * 12 to say you got to $12M ARR now Congrats, you did it!
Some hyper-growth stories are believable. Others are not. Claude / Anthropic is doing crazy revenue numbers and it checks out, literally everyone I know is using it. Other startups claiming “$1 million MRR in 90 days” and nobody I know is using it let alone paying. Curious.

And the highest unemployment rate of any state in the country. @GavinNewsom i’d love to look through the books of California on financial audit, if you’re down! The good AND the bad 😌
$25 minimum wage. Universal access to healthcare. A progressive tax system. The top university system in the country. Fox News hates California because of our success.
Community note
California's statewide minimum wage is $16.90/hour as of Jan 2026, not $25. Only certain healthcare workers in specific facilities are set to reach $25/hour by July 2026—this is sector-specific, not a general minimum wage. dir.ca.gov/dlse/faq_minim…

This is the internet that high bandwidth internet speeds took from us. Most of the worlds problems came from anything faster than dsl.
The original home of Craigslist in SF, somewhere around 9th & Judah? Took this circa 2004.

Another player joins OG Xbox Live again (Insignia)! We are so happy to have everyone! Stop in and say hi to the community! Make sure you check our events tabs for both XBL and HCH discords!
I am playing Halo 2 online on my original Xbox in 2026 thanks to Insignia! Insignia is a server that has restored the functionality of Xbox Live for the original Xbox. I was able to do this without "modding" the system, it's free, and easy to set up. #Xbox #RetroGaming #Halo2
