A digital security backed by rainforest conservation in Peru and verified environmental credit revenue.

Welcome to the official X account of SlothCoin (SLOC). SlothCoin is a conservation-backed security token built around the long-term protection of rainforest land in Peru. The model is designed to direct capital into securing and managing rainforest, supporting conservation and rehabilitation work, and developing environmental-credit projects. As verified environmental credits are generated and sold, that activity creates the economic engine behind SLOC, with capital expected to be reinvested into expanding conservation over time. Here, we’ll share the progress, the conservation work, the token structure, and how the model develops from the ground up.

Environmental credits don’t come with a guaranteed price tag. Their value depends on things like verification outcomes, market demand and buyer negotiations. That’s important for understanding SLOC: the economics are intended to depend on real environmental-credit activity, not a number chosen in advance. What would you want to understand first before assigning value to a conservation credit?

One detail every token holder should know: SlothCoin is the product. Global Conservation Capital, Inc. is the issuer. GCC is the company behind the SLOC security token and the broader conservation business model. It sounds like a small distinction. For a digital security, it’s one of the first things worth understanding.

If the conservation model starts generating revenue, where should reinvestment matter most first: more land, better monitoring, or rewilding?

Protecting rainforest isn’t only about how many acres sit inside a boundary. It’s also about what that habitat can support. That’s why wildlife rehabilitation and rewilding are part of the broader SlothCoin story, not as decoration, but as part of thinking about conservation at an ecosystem level. A forest is more than land. It’s habitat.

Here’s one part of the SLOC allocation that doesn’t get much attention: 10% of the token supply is allocated to the Conservation & Rewilding Pool, intended to support direct conservation-program co-funding. For a conservation-backed project, token allocation should tell you something about where the priorities sit.

A verified environmental credit is not revenue. Someone still has to buy it. That sounds obvious, but it’s fundamental to understanding the SLOC model. Conservation activity has to progress. Credits have to meet the relevant methodology and verification requirements. They have to be issued. And then they need actual market demand. Only after a sale can environmental-credit revenue exist. The business model has to work in the real world before the economics can work on paper.
