Paul said something most of us would struggle to say honestly. β€œTo depart and be with Christ… is far better.” Philippians 1:23 Paul didn't merely believe heaven was better. He believed Christ was better. Death meant departure from this life and presence with his Lord.

How do you enter the Kingdom of God? Jesus said Repent. Believe. Be born again. Come to Him. Follow Him. Do the Father’s will. Become like a child. The Kingdom isn’t entered by merely saying β€œLord, Lord.” Jesus didn’t just call us to believe in Him. He called us to follow Him.

Warriors For Christ Ministries MOST MARRIAGES DO NOT COLLAPSE IN ONE NIGHT. THEY STARVE IN SILENCE. Not from lack of a wedding. From lack of a covenant kept. God never called marriage a mood. He called it one flesh. One man. One woman. One lifetime. A holy joining that was meant to look like Christ’s love for His Church. β€œTherefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” β€” Genesis 2:24 (KJV) Leave. Cleave. Become one. That order still stands. Skip it, and the house starts leaning. A strong marriage is not found. It is built. Love deeply. Honor one another. Forgive quickly. Speak the truth without using it as a weapon. Sit together. Pray together. Charity is not the extra. It is the bond. β€œAnd above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.” β€” Colossians 3:14 (KJV) Put God first or everything else drifts. Love when it is not convenient. Keep the vow in thought, word, and deed. Let your mouth build the one beside you. Work as a team. Two are better than one when Christ is in the middle. Storms will come. Do not act shocked when they do. Ask God for wisdom. Be patient. Speak life. Never stop praying together. He gives grace for the hard days as surely as He gives joy for the good ones. β€œIf any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” β€” James 1:5 (KJV) If your heart is tired tonight, hear this: God has not forgotten your covenant. He still blesses the home that honors Him. He still strengthens the one who stays faithful. He still delights in your joy. β€œBeareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.” β€” 1 Corinthians 13:7 (KJV) LOVE. HONOR. RESPECT. Not a slogan. A daily decision. One choice. One prayer. One act of love at a time. Father, direct our hearts into Thy love and into the patience of Christ. Heal what is wounded. Soften what has grown hard. Teach husbands to love. Teach wives to honor. Make our homes a witness that Your way still works. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Stand strong. Advance the Kingdom. Live faithfully. Love deeply. Serve sacrificially. Speak the truth. Walk worthy of the Gospel. And when the journey ends be with Christ. That is gain. Philippians 1:21–27

Paul had learned something the world struggles to understand: You can hold this life with open hands without despising it, because you know this life is not your final possession.
6
Paul wanted heaven. But notice why. He wanted to depart and be with Christ. That distinction matters. The Christian hope is not ultimately: β€œI get a better existence.” It is: β€œI get Christ.” He is not merely the One who gets us to heaven. He is why heaven is heaven.
16
So perhaps the question isn't: β€œHow much life do I have left?” Or even: β€œWhat can I get out of this life?” The deeper question is: β€œDoes Christ define the life I am living now?” Because if He does then life is service, and death is gain.
7
Even our earthly relationships are interrupted by death. But Paul looked beyond all of that and saw something the world cannot offer: β€œTo depart and be with Christ.”
5
Because eventually every earthly assignment ends. Every house is left. Every possession stays behind. Every achievement becomes history.
7
You don't have to know how many days remain. You don't have to see the entire road. You don't even have to know what God may do through your faithfulness. Paul's concern was simpler: While I am here, let my life belong to Christ. Philippians 1:27
6
Paul's circumstances included imprisonment, suffering, uncertainty and the possibility of death. Yet he could still say: β€œTo live is Christ.”
5
And perhaps that's where this becomes personal. If you're still here, don't assume your life has lost its meaning because your circumstances aren't what you wanted.
6
Because his life wasn't about getting the most out of earth. It was about giving himself to Christ wherever Christ had him. Presence with Christ was his hope. Service to Christ was his calling.
7
So here's the strange beauty of Paul's perspective: Heaven was better. But remaining was valuable. Why?
