♦️Mya started 17 games her first year, playing right winger and striker, and tallied 7 points (3 goals-1 assist) in over 1400 minutes played
◼️ The foundation of Maya’s games is based in her speed, strength, and high attacking IQ.
♦️ She is an explosive ball carrier with twitchy movements; spins defenders regularly 1v1 and uses her body well to shield challenges away to hold possession. Improved greatly in hold-up play as the #9
◼️Happy to strike with her weak foot, even fake shot with her right foot then fire with the weak one
♦️Dangerous set piece deliveries from her chips, stays wide in those scenarios since she can beat defenders to the end line with dekes/pace to put a cross back in the mix
◼️Plays best when she is in flow with her wingers. Works upfield to accept the pass, staying strong, and playing nice through balls into space for her wingers to pressure defenses
♦️A nitty gritty defender! Causes disruption with her determination to win the ball. Can sometimes be too aggressive and foul or allow space to open up
Here is what I’ll be watching in Year 2. To be how amazing I think she will be, these are areas to improve!

First, I thank God for making this dream a reality and blessing me with the opportunity to continue pursuing what I love. I’m incredibly grateful for my family, friends, and teammates for their constant support, encouragement. I’d like to thank all of the others who made this journey possible as well. For Internationals Soccer Club, Strongsville High School, Ross Nicol, and AL Reynolds for always willing to help me improve as a player. Above all, I am immensely thankful for the support my parents have always provided for me. Their belief in me has helped me reach this point, and I couldn’t have done it without them.
Thank you to Coach Burke, Coach Victoria, Coach Emily, and for the rest of the coaching staff at Buffalo for providing me with this incredible opportunity. This is truly a dream come true, and I’m extremely proud to consider myself a part of this program.
