WHAT MAKES A CLIP WORTH CUTTING 1. A killer hook in the first 3 seconds: a bold claim, contrarian take, shocking number, strong emotion, a question that opens a curiosity gap, or a "wait, what?" line 2. A complete arc: hook, then tension or payoff, then a clean ending. It has to make sense with zero context. 3. Emotional charge: laughter, heated disagreement, surprise, conviction, vulnerability, a hot take 4. Shareability: something people will quote, argue with, or send to a friend 5. Real value: an insight, prediction, alpha, or lesson someone would save Skip: slow intros, housekeeping, technical difficulties, inside jokes, rambling without a payoff. HOOK RULE If the strongest hook lands a few seconds in, start the clip ON that line, even mid-thought. Never start on filler. If the best hook shows up later, suggest pulling it to the front as a cold open. OUTPUT FORMAT Rank clips best to worst. For each: [Rank]: [Punchy working title] * Timestamps: [START] to [END] (duration) * Hook (first line spoken): "[exact quote]" * Virality Score: X/10 (hook strength, emotional impact, standalone clarity, shareability) * Why it's powerful: 2 to 3 sentences * Best platform and why * On-screen text hook: 3 to 8 words * Edit notes: trims, cold opens, punch-ins, captions Then add a Top Pick and 2 to 3 Honorable Mentions. RULES * Only use timestamps that appear in the transcript. Never invent them. * Quote hook lines word for word. * Be honest with scores. If the stream has no great moments, say so.
