Youāre not going to like what Iām about to say.
But guess what?
Iām going to say it anyway.
Most of the people voting in November are not sitting on X all day.
They donāt know who your favorite political account is.
Most don't even know what X is.
I know because I've asked my coworkers, my family and my neighbors.
They donāt know about the argument that consumed your timeline yesterday.
They havenāt spent the last year reading āPASS THE SAVE ACTā or āFIRE JOHN THUNEā posts 417 times a day.
Theyāre living their lives.
And their lives are fcking exhausting right now.
I talk to my coworkers.
I talk to my neighbors.
I talk to regular people who couldnāt care less about social media political warfare.
You know what they talk about?
Money.
Groceries.
Gas.
Rent.
Mortgages.
Credit cards.
Second jobs.
Third jobs.
I work for a major bank and my coworker still has to drive DoorDash after work to make extra money.
Think about that.
People are leaving one full-time job, getting into their cars, and starting another one just to keep their families above water.
People who want to buy homes look at the numbers and wonder how the hell theyāre supposed to do it.
And everywhere I look, I see the same thing.
Bags under peopleās eyes.
People are tired.
People are stressed.
People are anxious about money.
People are working more and enjoying life less.
That is the America that will be walking into voting booths in November.
Not your timeline.
Not your group chat.
Not your engagement circle.
Real people.
With real bills.
Real families.
Real problems.
And whichever political party forgets that does so at its own peril.
You can win every argument on X and still completely misunderstand the country.
You can get 10,000 likes and still have absolutely no idea what the exhausted mother at the grocery store is thinking.
Or the father working overtime.
Or the couple realizing the house they dreamed about is out of reach.
Social media makes politics feel like a game.
For millions of Americans, it isnāt.
Itās their mortgage.
Their grocery bill.
Their gas tank.
Their paycheck.
Their kids.
Their future.
November wonāt be decided by who screamed the loudest on X.
Itāll be decided by millions of people asking one brutally simple question:
Is my life actually getting better?
