Update! The joycon 2 version of these sticks fit on a pro controller just fine! Definitely suggest doing that going forward.

I've seen a lot of crazy controllers this weekend but turning a Wii into a leverless AND IT STILL WORKS AS A Wii definitely takes the cake.

I wonder if the laggy LCDs of the early 2000s had an impact on game design regarding input buffer and input windows and the deign was just kept 🤔 I know there’s other things like accessibility, but it was just a thought.

Reminder that when we did this in Melee @ Royal Flush, nothing major changed, didn’t create more timeouts like expected. Could there be more timeouts because it’s Ultimate and not Melee? Yeah, but why can’t we just try stuff? 😭

As we launch our GC Ultimate 2 Kickstarter today, we’ve made a difficult decision regarding the Pico W to Pico W Dongle add-on. After extensive internal testing, we have decided not to offer the external dongle during this campaign. Why we’re making this change: Our goal is to provide a "plug-and-play" experience. While the custom Pico-to-Pico wireless link is a great concept, it hasn't yet reached the stability standards we require for a dedicated hardware add-on. The Good News: Universal Bluetooth is Rock Solid This change does not mean the gamepad is wired-only! We are extremely confident in the Bluetooth capabilities already built into the controller. The dongle simply needs some more time in the oven so to speak. Native Support: The gamepad still works beautifully over Bluetooth for PC, Switch 2, and other compatible devices. Wired Mode: For the competitive crowd, the high-speed wired connection remains the gold standard for low-latency play. We believe in shipping polished products. By removing the experimental dongle, we can focus 100% of our energy on perfecting the gamepad's firmware and ensuring the Bluetooth and wired experiences are world-class. The dongle will be something that I can look at with more attention and care after the campaign has wrapped. If something changes or we have a breakthrough, you will all be the first to know. This I feel is in the same category as “Wi-Fi tournaments don’t count” in regards to emulator vs console. There’s definitely nuance but Spargo & Jmook are two perfect examples of players that prove that WiFi can be legit.
