Each time I have a chance to collaborate with @sidefxhoudini I think of my whole #houdini journey. First time I had a chance to witness Houdini Hive was in 2017 at LA #siggraph where I got my hands on my first Houdini t-shirt that is still holding with only one little hole💪

The week of Feudal Age came to an end :) Let’s finish with a cute little turntable to celebrate the entry into Historical Epoch.
There's something fascinating about giving Bitcoin data a form you can almost reach out and touch. FEUDAL takes that idea somewhere unexpected. Age IV of The Origins, in motion. go.theorigins.art/fd17537a

This week I had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with @R4vonus Discussing state od the digital art and brainstorming on how it can be brought to better light it deserves. We also talked about his endeavours of developing unique pipeline to store artworks directly on blockchain chain and shared thoughts on how this could benefit the digital art ecosystem in general. It was also great to hear about his one of a kind experimental procedural art system diven by generative code. Great boost of optimisim and excitement to keep creating and building💪
This is part of why I’m building Keel around generative code. You’re storing the rules that create the scene. Change the pixel resolution and those same rules can render it at a different level of detail. Trees, terrain, textures—all generated instead of manually making assets for every scale. The hard part was never making the pixels smaller. It was writing every system behind them and making everything stay consistent as the detail changes. Procedural generation isn’t new. AI makes the sheer amount of specialized code needed to build this way much more practical.

Really proud of the evolving patter system in Feudal Age. It gives each piece a truly signature look. Let’s see where this journey leads ;)

Bitcoin didn't need permission to cut its block reward in half. On November 28, 2012, block 210,000 reduced the subsidy from 50 BTC to 25 BTC, exactly as programmed. No vote. No committee. Just a rule being enforced. That moment, reimagined through FEUDAL in The Origins. go.theorigins.art/fd17537a

What a journey to get here! Time, energy, resources and years of gradual progress. I am excited, humbled and grateful for where I was able to build this project. The work continues as I am getting close to the release. Bitcoin Block Header transformed into Art 2 blocks for every day since 3th of Jan 2009 6 Epochs / 16 Ages

For some reason I just really enjoy the idea of an Archive! ... Why do I think of Indiana Jones? :D
Satoshi didn't announce a goodbye. He simply moved on. April 23, 2011 marked his final known email. Bitcoin continued without its creator at the centre. One of its defining moments, preserved through The Origins. go.theorigins.art/fd17537a #GenerativeArt #DigitalArt #AlgorithmicArt

Week of Prehistoric Age is ending. It continues from Genesis and while it preserves the narrative it still introduces fresh style for its own importance. The iterations are surprising and always satisfying to witness. Created with #houdinifx #redshift and lots and lots of data pushed through procedural magic ✨ Stay tuned for next week’s Dynasty Age

This week is about Prehistoric Age and today we are looking at how this visual style moves away from Genesis Age while still holding the notion of continuation within our narrative of evolution. Aside from myriad of technical obstacles and nuances that had to be fine tuned, one of the important decisions was how to get across the look of first human marks and drawings while still respectign the digital nature of The Origins collection. Enjoy the sneak peak behind the scenes and into some iterations leading up to the final look. An Age starts with a question: what should this period feel like? From there, it becomes a series of decisions, tests and iterations. This is a look at how I approached building the visual language for one of the Genesis Age in The Origins. #houdini
