[SECURITY NOTICE] Bitget Hot Wallet Incident β September 24, 2026
At 18:31 UTC on September 24, 2026, Bitget's security systems detected unauthorized transfers from some of our hot wallets. Our security team activated emergency response protocols immediately.
What we have confirmed:
-Estimated funds affected: approximately $351.6 million
-Cold wallets remain fully secure. Bitget operates a three-tier wallet architecture β the breach contained only a portion of the hot wallet and warm wallet layers.
-User funds are safe. The full amount of this loss falls within the coverage of Bitget's User Protection Fund, which currently holds over $464 million
Actions we have taken:
-Emergency response team activated within minutes of detection
-Abnormal transfer addresses identified, flagged, and reported
-Withdrawals temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure, pending security review
-Law enforcement and on-chain security firms have been formally notified and are engaged
What this means for you:
-Your account balances are accurate and your assets are protected
-Deposits and trading remain fully operational
Withdrawals are temporarily paused and will be restored as soon as the security review is complete
-What comes next: We will provide updates on an hourly basis across this channel and all official platforms. A full incident report β including root cause analysis and corrective actions β will be published within 24 hours. We will not speculate on the attack vector until the investigation is complete.

So if the rumor becomes real, the important question is:
How do you find the real token before everyone else without buying one of the 500 fake CAs that will appear first?

If this new token is somehow connected to the existing Trump memecoin ecosystem, this is one of the first places I would watch.

The rumor specifically mentions a possible βTrump family token.β
Watch Donald Trump Jr., Trumpβs official channels and Truth Social.
We have already seen what happens when fake rumors start circulating
In May 2025, rumors claimed Truth Social was preparing a memecoin, Donald Trump Jr. denied it.
- WLFI
This might be one of the most important sources.
WLFI has previously publicly responded when fake Trump token rumors started spreading.
If another token connected to the family is actually coming, watch closely for what WLFI says about it.
- Robinhood
The rumor says the token could launch on Robinhood Chain.
Watch @RobinhoodCrypto and Robinhood Chain communications closely.
- Blockscout
The explorer lets you monitor new contracts and inspect:
deployer
contract verification
supply
holders
transfers
ownership
mint permissions
liquidity interactions
- The deployer
If a potential contract appears, donβt just look at the ticker, trace the deployer.
Where did the wallet get funded?
What contracts has it previously deployed?
Does it interact with known Robinhood infrastructure?
Does it have connections with wallets associated with the official launch?
- Liquidity
- Listing
The original $TRUMP launched on Solana and Robinhood added TRUMP/USD spot on January 20, 2025.
If another legitimate Trump token appears, exchange and infrastructure support could become one of the best secondary confirmations.
