Much of Google's Street View data at Disneyland is from a very busy summer 2017. Here's Small World using its extended queue. It crosses the parade route and into the parade viewing area. I haven't seen this in a long time. People forget how busy it used to get.

Much of the Google Street View data on Disneyland is from a decade ago. Remember when the line for the Matterhorn started here? 45 minutes doesn't seem too bad when it's winding all the way to the back of the mountain.

Hey, it's still Splash Mountain on Google Street View!

When I was a teenager, my big idea was to create musical Disneyland ride POVs. My video of the Matterhorn is the only one I know that survived. The quality is atrocious because I recorded the footage with a camcorder and used 90s capture software. Enjoy! youtube.com/watch?v=ISh354nU…

By the way, see if you can spot the Rocket Rod haha

Heat wave in full effect at Disneyland. Midday wait times look to be significantly diminished. Good weekend if you enjoy running hot.

Took this photo on the Disney Magic. She's censored at Disneyland but on the high seas anything goes I guess.

This perfectly demonstrates how uncrowded it is at Disneyland today. At 7:53PM, Space Mountain still has Lightning Lanes for 8PM.

One of the few short waits after the rain ended on this increasingly busy Labor Day Sunday at Knott's. And it's a good one. Next is Xcelerator, where it's increasingly possible that your next ride is your last ride. Savor it!

Working on a theorem. Proposal: On a long enough timeline, all theme parks become DCA. Make sense to anyone else?

No Space Mountain announcement. Clickbait blogs and rumor forums eternally BTFO.

Found a comment I made 17 years ago on the "Re-Imagineering" blog. Goes to show nothing has really changed, both online and in the parks haha

Here's a link to the blog, which was allegedly a platform for "Disney and Pixar" professionals to anonymously criticize the direction of Disney parks. The final post was published in 2010. I like the 2009 reference to "slop" here. imagineerebirth.blogspot.com…

A suitable price, don't you think? (It's going to sell for way more lol)

Disneyland continues to add tier 0 days to the calendar. Feb '25: 5 days Feb '26: 9 days Feb '27: 14 days If the tier 0 price is not increased this fall, Disneyland on a tier 0 day will continue to be the best value in the theme park industry.

They stopped letting people in line around 7PM, so I'm glad I didn't chance it!
