A disturbing incident in Loudoun County, Virginia, has sparked outrage after a video surfaced showing a middle schooler harassing a 5-year-old Asian boy with ethnic slurs. In the footage, the young child is seen pleading, “Don’t hurt me,” as older children laugh and mock him. The video was shared among students at Eagle Ridge Middle School.

The victim’s parents, who immigrated from China seeking a safe community, expressed deep pain over the incident and the bystanders’ inaction. Loudoun County Public Schools condemned the behavior and offered counseling to the victim, despite him not being a student in their system. The sheriff’s office is investigating the matter.
