I see so many people asking: why is Ramp building their own coding agent? Spotify an agentic development environment? Thomson Reuters their own AI model? Why do they BUILD and not BUY these tools? It's because AI made building cheaper, and more "profitable." If you want your engineers to become "AI engineers", they need to build stuff. So why not build tools that are better than what already exists? With much less effort than before? As a side effect, getting "cracked" with AI infra, and buildign with AI?
