Crime is a luxury. If you’re rich, you pay a fine. If you’re poor, you pay with your freedom.😭

Millions of South Africans can't find work, yet government has found the political will, administrative capacity and parliamentary time to amend employment legislation concerning foreign nationals. Priorities are a fascinating thing.😩
📢The Employment Services Amendment Bill Has Not Become Law The Employment Services Amendment Bill, 2025 is still being considered. No final decisions have been taken, and the Bill will still be considered by Parliament. #GovZAUpdates #EmploymentBill

If you’re fleeing an unsafe country for a safer one, you’d think the whole family would be interested in the trip. 😩 Yet asylum queues seem overwhelmingly male. Where are the women and children? Maybe before the next interview, ask the obvious question.. “Why did you come alone?”
‼️Today Home Affairs in KZN So these are asylum seekers??? We are NOT stupid!! Do not document these illegal immigrants! They must go Bek!!!

From the asylum-seeker queues I’ve seen, the overwhelming majority appear to be men? Where are the women and children?😳 If the reason for leaving is safety, shouldn’t their safety matter too? Have journalists and officials actually asked these men why their families are left behind?

In case you were wondering , A recognised refugee in SA can enjoy the following rights : • Work & compete in the labour market • Receive labour-law protections • Access public healthcare & education • Access social assistance where legally qualified • Unionise & strike • Protest & assemble • Practise their religion • Access courts & legal protection • Own property & enjoy constitutional protections That’s a lot of rights for someone who is not a citizen.😩

South Africa needs to settle the contradiction between immigration policy and constitutional refugee protections. You cannot have immigration laws designed to regulate who may enter, remain and work in the country, while judicial interpretations continually expand protections around those very areas without clearly defining the limits. The result? A system that becomes increasingly difficult to enforce.

DEAR SOUTH AFRICANS, ITS TIME TO WAKE UP AND FIGHT!🇿🇦 It’s time to challenge the government, NGOs and policymakers over South Africa’s new asylum rules following the court ruling. What is happening is unacceptable. Decisions are being made in boardrooms and courtrooms by people

Ngeke 😩🤞 These politicians must already have a country lined up to flee to when South Africa has been completely destroyed. Because surely they’re not planning to experience the consequences with the rest of us. 😭✈️🌍

How are we supposed to genuinely unite with other African countries when some still have laws criminalising or restricting homosexuality and LGBT rights? What does African unity look like when our laws, values and human-rights protections differ so fundamentally?😩
Austin Adida Mzukwa, known for his extravagant lifestyle on social media, was reportedly denied entry into Zanzibar, Tanzania, after arriving for his birthday celebration because he is gay & was travelling with his friend who was mistaken for his partner.Tanzania has restrictive laws and policies affecting same-sex relationships and LGBTQ+ people.

How does a senior police general make decisions like this? At the same time he’s already caught up in serious allegations surrounding police corruption, criminal networks and interference in investigations, he is now facing rape, trafficking and sexual-grooming charges involving teenagers. The timing alone is astonishing. What were you thinking, General?😩
WATCH🚨🚨🚨🚨 The Randburg Magistrate’s Court heard that Shadrack Sibiya made a WhatsApp call of about 51 minutes to a 16-year-old girl on 20 July, during which he allegedly sent her more than 10 explicit photographs of herself, including images of her pr**vate parts, which she had stored on her phone and had never sent to anyone, leaving her terrified and asking how he had accessed them, a question the state says he never answered.

Morning briefing: EFF campaign strategy? ❌ Voter mobilisation? ❌ Party politics? ❌ “First, let me find out what Jacinta said yesterday.” 😭 Priorities, fighters . Priorities
It is very callous and brazenly populist of @JacintaNgobese to lie that only women who are South African citizens are being killed. I am really appalled and disgusted by her conduct. I fully agree with what another X contributor wrote: “This is not a time to come try score points, but a time to unite as Africans and stand against any form of abuse towards women.”

We don't even need to go that far. Just look at the state's response two months back when foreign nationals said they felt scared.

Jacinta is saying what many are afraid to say. Imagine if the roles were reversed. The NGOs would be activated, lawyers would be on the ground, ministers would be travelling, government would be explaining itself and every platform would be demanding accountability. Yet when South Africans are affected, the expectation seems to be, tolerate it, keep quiet and move on.😩

Who told Eugene Mthethwa that South Africans don't want scooter delivery jobs? 🤔 I personally know South Africans doing deliveries for Checkers 60 Sixty, and others who want to do it but don't have motorcycle licences. So where did this claim come from? A survey? Research? Or just an assumption? The EFF can't speak for everyone, then accuse people of “decampaigning” them when challenged. Sometimes the negativity isn't coming from opponents, they're creating it themselves.😕
