I saw City Hunter in that little intro! I'm a huge City Hunter fan! I'm curious, what are the references? Is it just Hammer looking like Umibozu or are there other references?

Honestly didn’t even know about this Hammer look-alike in City Hunter! That is incredible. Wanted something to represent Rondo of Blood’s "80s anime influence", so I spoke with an artist friend to see what they think encompassed it most. After thinking City Hunter was the one!

There was a fan Castlevania fighting game called Serio's Castlevania fighter iirc It was incredibly unbalanced, absolutely unfair at times but downright funny and had a LOT of playable characters (even Hammer !)

They’re all available to do from the beginning of the game if you’re aware of their inputs (aside from the transformation exclusive ones) A lot of people first discover them on accident 😆 But you can buy their command lists to show up in your menu from the librarian!
