A Beautiful First Weekend Of Fall As mentioned since last weekend, the upcoming weekend should have cooler mornings in the 50s Saturday and Sunday. Wednesday 6:35pmET Radar Loop (9/23/26) Heavy rain continues with a slow moving storm stretching from near Fort Oglethorpe to Varnell. Radar estimates around 1"-2" has fallen in these areas with rainfall continuing. Watch for excessive runoff and ponding on roads. #CHAwx #Chattanooga

(9/23/26) Finally Below 90!!! For the first time in over 7 weeks, the high temperature in Chattanooga stayed below 90. A cooling trend will continue through late week and into the weekend resulting in morning lows in the 50s and highs in upper 70s to lower 80s. #CHAwx #Chattanooga

Showers At Times Wednesday & Not As Hot We could finally stay below 90 for the first time in 7 weeks. Low/mid 80s possible but some areas may stay in the 70s if the cloud cover holds. Showers are possible during the morning, then a possible redevelopment of showers and a few storms for the mid/late afternoon to early evening. A Level 1 "Marginal Risk" that a few storms could produce damaging gusts along with heavy downpours & lightning. Drier and even cooler through late week and the weekend. #CHAwx #Chattanooga
