At #DataTamasha2026 under the theme 'Kujenga Na Data' , together with @StrathCIPIT, we facilitated a session on 'The Good Guys' Dilemma ', a conversation challenging CSOs to reflect on their role as major data handlers. The discussion highlighted that data protection must go beyond tick-box compliance and become part of everyday operations, that trust remains the most valuable asset for organizations serving communities, and that Data Protection Impact Assessments should be viewed as Human Rights Impact Assessments because protecting personal data also protects dignity, safety, and the right to privacy. @VictorNdede @MelissaOmino #DataProtectionKE #DigitalRightsKE
