With days of Advent Children discourse which is nothing new at this point, I hope people realise that Cloud can choose to do what he wants after OG, he’s fictional so he can only do anything at the behest of the writers of course but i’d consider it extremely weird for them to continuously write him to do things he is miserable and unhappy with doing. If he doesn’t wanna live with Tifa and the kids he doesn’t have to, if he didn’t wanna go back to them after he temporarily stayed away he didn’t have to, if he didn’t wanna spend time with them he didn’t have to, he didn’t have to say they were a family. This whole notion of “Cloud looks unhappy” etc with Tifa, the kids, or any combination of the characters is stupid to me because if he was that miserable doing these things he could always, you know…. not do them?
I’d make a point of saying, what, does Tifa have a gun to his head or something but i’m sure people would genuinely argue that she does because its Tifa, so it’s moot
