For some reason I find myself drawn to these quirky retro 50s sci-fi throwbacks that pop up every few years. Alien Trespass (2009) is not the best of that sub sub-genre, and very niche, but it's amusing enough to get a smile out of me.
Plus, Robert Patrick has a small part in it!

FY 22
The thing is that the initial teaser trailer and poster WAS good marketing. Everyone was excited. But between then and the release yeah the marketing failed.
The first reaction hype WAS real though
As far as American remakes go Shutter (2008) actually wasn't that bad. Sure it's not as iconic as the original and it feels like they play it way too safe, but it's not awful.
The film would've benefited if Naomi Watts was in it.

#31DaysofHorror
Tom Cruise’s DIGGER is humiliated by Dakota Johnson and Anne Hathaway’s VERITY on Friday.
Amazon MGM’s new female/gay driven hit earned $15.1M on its opening day, while SKYDANCE’s new bomb barely surpassed $3M.
Rough year for Hollywood’s newest major studio
Unless you are #TheLionKing, a reissue will always be treated by audiences as such at US #BoxOffice, even if you add new scenes, give it a massive promo campaign & even if it’s the #Avengers!
#AvengersEndgameEncore rerelease grossed solid 1.1M on 2nd FRI, but harsh -90% drop from last FRI Re-Opening Day (vs #TheLionKing’s 6.1M, -31.9%).
Even so, #Endgame hits a strong 32.9M 8-day rerelease cume & a 891.3M lifetime run in the U.S.
The reissue is Eyeing a 3.5M-4.5M 2nd 3-day weekend & a 87%-82% drop
21st-century Rear Window, Disturbia (2007) aged like fine wine. Love the 200s-era tech, David Morse is great in everything, and I almost forgot that the great Viola Davis was even in this one. Most def consider it to be one of Shia LaBeouf's best films.
Really good nostalgia watch!

Sidemen Outside
1.5 The Secret Spender
K, this pissed me off. The synopsis of this ep flat-out ruins the surprise of who wins the elimination challenge. Not cool, Netflix, not cool. But yeah, one of them goes all scorched-earth with the spending, and you can easily guess who 😂
Also, special guest star: Uncle Roger hosts a food challenge
The second half of this episode was most def better than the first half and actually had some unspoiled surprises

Sidemen: Outside
1.4 Time's Up
Outside turns into Scare Tactics 😂 as the contestants participate in a hair-raising challenge.
Not as good as episode 2 or 3 but it's aight just not much happens.
I guess I forgot to watch a day as I'm behind, so it seems I have to double up tonight. Also I really wish Netflix allowed screen grabs so I could jazz up these reviews but it is what it is🤷♂️

Earlier tonight when my ex dropped my son off I almost asked her for a hug, not cause I miss her, but I just really needed a hug. I caught myself and didn't ask for one so I avoided awkwardness
But I still need a hug 😭
