Fairly sure the patch is to fix the exploit that's been going around Japanese quickplay for months that would tempban you for matching with users using the exploit. JP smash has been clamoring for a fix for months, it just never made its way overseas.

The thing about both sides of TTS complaints is that both problems ("fake majors/supermajors" and TO complaints about what it takes to get major status) feel diametrically opposed, ie trying to make one better exacerbates the other.

Yaura missing top 10 is probably the most controversial thing on this ranking to the general public (though not among the statsheads). It's a really strange resume, he won four nominal majors but with drastically weaker brackets than you'd expect.
