Abortion has been sanitized with words like “choice,” “procedure,” and “healthcare.” But no amount of wordplay can erase the truth: There is a living human being in the womb! Abortion intentionally kills that child. There is nothing compassionate or moral about that.

More than 1 in 10 deaths in parts of Canada are now reportedly “assisted suicides.” Read that again. Let’s stop calling this “compassion.” There is never a compassionate reason to intentionally kill an innocent human being. Today is National Daughter Day. And we’re thinking about the millions of daughters who never got to celebrate one because abortion ended their lives in the womb. They deserved birthdays. They deserved futures. They deserved LIFE. Let’s honor them by making abortion unavailable and unthinkable.

We LOVE puppies… but human babies are 100% more valuable. Human life begins at fertilization and every human deserves the right to Life.

This is exactly why the strategy of the so-called abortion “abolitionist” movement is dangerous. During his debate with our Students for Life staffer JoJo Ruba, Bradley Pierce was confronted with a statement from his communications director calling for “more gallows.” When JoJo asked Bradley directly whether that meant women who have abortions should be hanged, Bradley ultimately answered yes. And this is why we’re done allowing this movement to monopolize the term “abolitionist.” We want to abolish abortion. Students for Life exists to abolish abortion. The difference is HOW we actually get there. These guys are premature abolitionists. Their strategy demands laws immediately treat all abortion as homicide, including the death penalty for post-abortive women. If a law is proposed that doesn’t ban every abortion, they fund battles to defeat that law. They argue that heartbeat abortion bans should be repealed because those bans don’t save 100% of children. In Missouri right now, those premature abolitionists are campaigning alongside Planned Parenthood to tell voters to vote against Amendment 3, which would restore at least some of Missouri’s pro-life laws. Even if a law could save thousands of babies today, they believe it’s evil because it doesn’t save every baby. We are permanent abolitionists. We will fight to save every baby we possibly can TODAY while working toward the day when EVERY baby is protected. We go after the abortion industry that lies to and abuses mothers, not the post-abortive women who have been victimized by it. That means changing the culture. Changing minds. Supporting mothers. Passing the strongest pro-life laws politically possible today and coming back tomorrow to save even more lives. If we have the votes to pass a law today that saves 10,000 babies but not 100,000, we’re going to save those 10,000 babies and then keep fighting for the other 90,000. That isn’t compromise. That’s refusing to sacrifice children while waiting for the perfect law. Our goal isn’t to just make a political statement about abortion. Our goal is to actually END abortion. Premature abolitionists demand total abolition before the culture and law are prepared to sustain it. Permanent abolitionists are building the culture and laws necessary to abolish abortion for good. We are abortion abolitionists. And we’re fighting for abolition that actually lasts.

A preborn child’s heartbeat can be detected 21 days from conception. Tiny fingers and toes soon after. By 12 weeks, they can move and stretch. The humanity of the child in the womb is undeniable.

Yesterday, our staff apologist, JoJo Ruba, debated premature abolitionist Bradley Pierce, who argues that any pro-life law that doesn’t immediately end all abortion AND jail post-abortive women is evil. But listen to what he admits here. Premature abolitionists would rather let MORE babies die for decades than support incremental pro-life laws that could save babies now and help us abolish abortion faster. Think about that. When given the choice between saving babies today or preserving what he believes to be ideological purity, he chooses ideological purity. If you actually want to abolish abortion, you fight to save every baby you possibly can, as quickly as you possibly can. That’s exactly what the premature “abolitionists” are refusing to do.
