I am a huge failure. I failed at e-commerce. Retail. Construction. The list goes on. I finally succeeded. A few businesses. Even bought a couple. My most successful deal? Finding a family. Everyone’s doing reintroductions. This is mine. The right deals always find you.

It's normal. To have moments of setting the world on fire. And moments of trying to keep your head above water. The fire weeks feel permanent. So do the drowning weeks. Neither one is. Don't make big decisions in either.

Dear high achievers, Not everyone thinks like you. Not everyone craves growth like you. Not everyone finishes one win and immediately hunts the next. Push (certain) people like you push yourself and you'll break something. Slow down. Read the room.

I can't go to the smoothie place near my house anymore. The owner mentioned he might sell. Two more visits and I own a smoothie shop. Some guys have to stay away from bars. I have to stay away from businesses for sale. 🤷‍♂️

I've watched people come and go - in my businesses, in my life. Some for a reason. Some for a season. Some for a lifetime. The lifers are rare. They're the ones who end up helping to shape who you become. Pick them carefully.

Right now I am in the thick of it. Business. Family. Life. All of it demanding attention at the same time. No clean answers. No perfect balance. Just showing up every day and figuring it out. People see the businesses and the highlights. They don't always see the seasons where everything is heavy at once. This is one of those seasons. And that's okay. You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to keep going.

You can have it all. A great family. A career you’re proud of. Your health. A strong marriage. Real friends. Strong faith. Money that works for you. I used to say you could have it all without really believing it. Now I know it’s true.

A hill I’ve come to accept: Sustained happiness is downstream of learning to roll with life’s punches.

Here’s the hiring strategy I’ve settled on: Find good people. Watch for the ones who show up - reliable, hardworking, loyal. Reward them. That’s literally it. Quality people want to grow. Recognize it, or lose them.

I’ve tried to explain to people why I can’t just stop. It’s not about the money. It’s the building. The creating. The solving. The growing. It’s a rush. And I’m addicted to it.

I bought a furniture rental company in June 2025. The idea was more furniture offerings for Florida Event Decor. Questioned it for months. 14 months later, we just landed our biggest sale yet. LESSON I keep relearning in business (and life!): Things. Take. Time.. Patience..
