I agree with all this ... posting as word of caution on the headlines.
i respect you a lot but you know better than to post this; Iran is not ruled by traditional politicians but by the IRGC who have the last word not its presidential team. i read the Reuters report is not a serious piece...the Iranian president has ZERO power to make any peace deal

More headlines about possible peace deal around Iran and Hormuz moving markets a bit.
Lets hope it happens ... but stay nimble as we've been here before and its unclear if who we are speaking with even has the power and authority to make a deal for Iran.
The ultra hardliners control the money and weapons and that's who is still mostly running the show right now.

A diesel export ban would likely cause prices to fall in short term but rise in longer term. Fuel won't have a place to go after storage fills. Can't move oil/fuel around like other products. Requires pipelines and specific distribution systems.
